These long-time Burr Ridge homeowners have enjoyed this home since the mid 1980’s and were in the process up updating and upgrading several portions of this home. Their primary requirements were to update all of the A/V systems, improve the background music throughout, and incorporate a reliable and easy to operate in-home intercom system.

Updating the A/V systems was done in conjunction with the whole home music and intercom system from NetStreams. The NetStreams DigiLinX system is operated via the wall mounted touch screens, 10 button keypads, iPads, iPhones, iTouch and any computer on the home network. By making it easy to access the various music services they now enjoy all the music they had collected including the expansive album collection.

The primary A/V room was designed around a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround receiver from Denon. Our job was to create an unobtrusive as possible entertainment system so the room’s aesthetical presentation would remain as the primary focus of the room. Commanding the primary entertainment system was achieved through the use of the Universal Remote MX-3000. Our intuitive, simple and legible programming of the remote made enjoying a movie or a TV show a one touch process.

Other locations which required TV’s were integrated with universal remotes and aesthetically pleasing installation techniques. Overall, this project was very straight forward and was received by the clients as nothing less than awesome. We were elated because we had to run a lot of wire through a big home and we only had to open drywall to accomplish our new wire runs in 2 places within an 8,000 sq ft home.
