During this basement remodel, ELA was recommended to get involved early on to help make this client’s home entertainment dream to a reality. By leveraging a centralized Audio & Video Matrix, we were able to efficiently distribute HD Cable TV, Blu-Ray DVD, Apple TV & Satellite Radio service to 5 viewing areas throughout the home. Two of these areas were dedicated 5.1 Denon Surround Sound Systems.
The Basement Recreation Room featured Totem Acoustic in-wall Tribe loudspeakers, which are just incredible for the money. We partnered them with a Denon AVR-4311Ci receiver, Velodyne DD subwoofer and 65” Panasonic Plasma TV for a truly immersive presentation. We color matched the speakers to blend into the extensive cabinetry work and recessed the component rack under the stairway, maximizing the use of space.
Enjoying the A/V system anywhere is ingeniously simple. By incorporating the Universal Remote MX-6000 for the Surround Sound Receivers areas and the MX-980 for others we scripted one-button commands to launch the desired entertainment platform. The kids gaming TV area provides access to connect 2 game systems to the 46” 3D TV. All of the game connections and the games themselves are located within the base cabinets below to keep the room clean and organized.
By working in tandem with Cheryl D & Company custom cabinetry in LaGrange IL, we were able to cooperatively prepare documentation for the general contractor to keep this project on-time and on-budget.
